OPPORTUNITY TO SHARE OLDTIME FUN
2014 PT Wooden Boat Festival Carousel Info
September 5-6-7, 2014
A CALL OUT FOR SPONSORS
It takes five days, actually more, to prepare, set-up, and operate the carousel at the festival. Last year, 2013, this was sponsored by a generous group of donors. Because of them free rides were offered to all children and adults, no limit, all three festival days. This eliminated turning any child (or adult) away. The carousel gave hundreds and hundreds of free rides. Lots of brass ring catching game playing and fun by numerous groups of children was had.
Your 2014 sponsorship makes free-for-all-rides possible. Especially meaningful for kids that really love it and can't afford $1 per ride. The carousel operates late each day to give open-gate festival visitors a chance to ride. Ten sponsorships are needed; a single sponsorship is $100, it can be shared. Unless otherwise requested, all sponsors are listed on this site and at the carousel. Your help is highly appreciated.
To pay: Cash in Hand to Bill, Check to "Bill Dentzel", or PayPal to bilito@gmail.com (go to PayPal, you don't need and account to do this). Contact Bill Dentzel: bilito@gmail.com or 360-531-2812.

FOR OPERATORS ONLY: GUIDELINES
1.) Manage on/off loading of riders.
2.) Turn on/off motor, or crank carousel, or find volunteer cranker.
3.) See that rings are re-collected after each ride and ring catcher is re-loaded (usually done by helpful riders).
4.) See that there is no horse play or bad conduct by riders.
Choose from the schedule below what session(s) you'd like to be in charge of the carousel (I'll be nearby for any assistance). Volunteer operators receive a gate pass, a T-shirt, tips, plus a whole lot of fun with kids and families. Click on link below for guidelines.
Anyone who would like to assist in set-up or break down, Sept. 4th and 8th, contact Bill, this is actually fun too in a quiet way, no crowds. Goes pretty quick.
